We always prefer the Paxo stuffing mix (170g) with the various flavours. Our favourite is probably Chestnut & Cranberry.
For the sausage meat, we like the Heck 97% Pork sausages (and we remove the cases) as it isn't very fatty or watery.
This recipe can easily be multiplied for the number of people you need to cater for.

Serves: 4-6 people
1 pkt Paxo Stuffing (170g)
200g sausage meat
Some butter (optional)
Mixing bowl
Wooden spoon
Small ovenproof dish (something like a small square Pyrex bowl)
Pre-heat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7.
Empty the stuffing mix into a bowl.
Add 425ml of boiling water and mix very well.
Add a large knob of butter (optional).
Leave to stand for 5 minutes.
Add the sausage meat, breaking it into pieces and mixing regularly.
Stir until it is fully mixed with the stuffing mixture.
Put mixture into the oven proof dish and even out but don't flatten too much (the peaks will crispen up nicely).
Bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy.
Add a dessert apple, peeled, cored and diced to the mixture.
